Candidate Statement: I'm very
passionate about causes close to my heart, and I am skilled and proficient in
making my voice heard and speaking up for others.
After starting in senior
school, teachers encouraged me to join a feminist society, which is normally
only for six-formers where we discuss world issues and how they relate to
women’s rights. I have also received special recognition for being a model United
Nations candidate after a recent conference at my school. I enjoy being able to
debate with others and have learnt a lot by doing this in the last year in
senior school.
I will talk to and listen to
other young people in Wales through social media and at local youth events. I
will find out what people are passionate about by doing online polls and
promote myself so that people have confidence knowing I will speak up for them.
I would love to be able to
represent my area in the Youth Parliament and would be excited talk to other
people about the problems they feel are important to them.
