Candidate Statement: Shwmae!
I’m Nate. I’m 11 years old and live in Newport. I will make a good Welsh Youth
Parliament Member because I’m passionate about making Wales a better place for
all. My focus is:
— getting disadvantaged people
better opportunities through education and training;
— supporting our environment by
creating more habitats for animals and insects; and
— creating free sporting
facilities to help mental health and fitness and decrease pressure on the NHS.
I have the experience and
skills to make this difference.
I’m an experienced young
leader. I was PALS president in primary school, was part of Bassaleg School
cluster group, and chaired the ECO Committee.
I have experience supporting
the community, by helping coach the local under 8’s football team and
volunteering at Cardiff Dog’s Home.
These experiences mean I’m a
confident collaborator and public speaker, who enjoys contributing and working
with others.
