Freddie was a Member of the second Welsh Youth Parliament
from 2021 to 2024.
The following was his candidate statement for election to
the second Welsh Youth Parliament:
My key issues are:
- Economic
Development
- Climate
Change Action
- A
Fairer Educational Curriculum
Candidate Statement: I want to be a Welsh Youth Parliament
Member as I think it is essential that Wales looks forward to the future, not backwards
to the past. As young people, the future of our nation rests in our hands. In
the face of the climate crisis, COVID-19 and social movements such as Black
Lives Matter, we must be louder than ever at this tipping point in history and
ensure our voices are heard. If I were elected to be Welsh Youth Parliament
Member for Llanelli, I would fight tirelessly to create a better future for all
Welsh people.
I would consult with the young people of Llanelli through
social media. It is easier than ever to communicate with a mass audience and
have their thoughts heard in the modern age. I would use this to my advantage
to accurately represent my area.
You should vote for me, first and foremost, as I am a boy of
the people. I suffer from the same issues as everyone else in Llanelli and
understand what real life is. Additionally, I am an experienced, robust and
analytical debater with progressive ideas that will benefit all, not just the
top one per cent.
