Candidate Statement: Hi, I’m Ffion and I’m a young carer!
I’ve been a Young Carer since I was 4 and it’s a BIG part of my life; It has
shaped me into who I am today. I volunteer with projects that all actively
strive to make a difference to young people. And I’ve experienced hardships
firsthand. I think that we can always do better, it just takes effort and
commitment. With this in mind, I’m unbelievably honoured to be able to
represent carers across Wales.
I look forward to giving volume to opinions that may not
always be heard and even still, opinions that are already loud. I believe
everyone should always be heard, understood, and supported. But I know,
unfortunately, that for that to happen completely, effortlessly, and always,
many big changes still need to be made. Although big changes take time, I can’t
wait to be one of many voices that make an effort to tackle challenges and
discussions that will enable these big changes. My goal is to help, make differences,
and stand up for what I believe in. Life isn’t easy and EVERYONE should be
treated with grace.
