Candidate Statement: Welsh youth have power.
In school council I help bring all cultures and backgrounds
together, which enables us to get the best ideas and better solutions. If
elected I would create links with schools throughout the region and connect
with people across my sport and musical passions.
In Wales there are few places for young people to be social
and get together in evenings. Regional hubs would provide young people a safe
place to build social networks and a place to learn essential life skills.
In 2026 the elderly (60+) will represent nearly a third of
Welsh citizens. Our generation can volunteer to connect with the elderly to
tackle the loneliness many feel while also benefiting from their experiences.
Understanding bank accounts, household finances, loans &
mortgages are essential for a successful life and should be integrated into
PSHE so our generation to take their first steps in a career and avoid
unnecessary debt.
