Candidate Statement: I would like to be the Member of the
Welsh Youth Parliament for Aberavon so that I can play a key part in creating
change for young people in Wales. I will target young people using their
favoured means of communication, primarily the media, but also through schools
in Aberavon. I believe that I am best placed to undertake this role because
this year I have become a member of the officers’ team here in Bro Dur and I am
also a member of the school parliament. I am diligent and enthusiastic, and I
am passionate about our country. Furthermore, I am a person who works well in a
team and I can represent other people’s views in a mature manner. I am a member
of the CNPT orchestra and I volunteer with Parkrun every Saturday because
running is a social activity that everyone can enjoy and helps to improve
people’s mental health in our community. I am also a member of this year’s
Eisteddfod youth committee, which is helping to prepare for the ‘Steel and Sea’
Eisteddfod in 2025.
