Candidate Statement: Becoming a Youth Parliament member will
give me a unique opportunity to spread my knowledge and dedicate myself to
become a voice for the Youth Wales.
I am fluent in five languages: English, Kurdish, Turkish,
French, and a little Welsh. I am a student at St Julian's School, where I am
completing my GCSEs. I was born in London, and my first languages are Kurdish
and Turkish.
I became a member of the Labour Party in Newport East
because I am interested in politics. Jessica Morden, MP for Newport East, has
been an excellent role model for me, whom I admire and try to emulate. I am a
self-assured, outgoing, and enthusiastic young woman who aspires to make a
difference and be a voice for young people throughout Wales.
As a member of the Youth Parliament, I intend to improve our
community, environment, and health. I will work hard to get more community
centres for young people in Wales. I will also try to improve our environment
by encouraging young people in Wales to get involved in environmental issues. I
will also focus on your health and well-being in Wales, for young people who
are experiencing emotional and mental health issues.
