first Welsh Youth Parliament from 2018 to 2021.

statement for election to the first Welsh Youth Parliament:

Equal opportunities
Poverty and homelessness
Living in care - Our past does not dictate our future
I know what supports and systems
there are out there through experience. This has impacted my life and has made
me see life as real as it is. I am passionate about making things right not
only for myself but for others around me.
I would like to see a future
for myself in the next 5 years but the reality for me and lots of other people
is we see our future as our next meal, a warm bed and a roof over our head, or
we feel that we don’t have a future.
I am an individual person, but
I don’t stand alone. People who stand around me share many issues that I do,
but we are not heard. My voice is not only for me but for many others whose
voices have not yet been listened to.
You can’t change our pasts but
you can make our futures!
