Candidate Statement: Since I was young, I have always dreamt
of making a difference. My mark on the world, whether big or small, was
something I wanted to be imprinted in history books, even if these successes
were to go nameless.
I have always been astonished by the potential of our young
people, and find it incredible how despite background, ethnicity, or belief any
of us can aspire. We can grow, and learn absolutely anything we dream of.
That's why I believe wholeheartedly that regardless of your
gender or age, everyone deserves to have a say in the world they live in. This
world is not just home to our elders- it is our future. We as young people
deserve to be heard and to have our futures protected.
Standing as a candidate for Youth Parliament, I will do my
very best to ensure that no matter who you are, you will get an equal chance to
vote on what matters to you. I'm an easy-to-talk-to human being and I care- so
much- about the things that truly matter.
I promise our young people are one of these things.
