2021 to 2024.
The following was his candidate statement for election to
the second Welsh Youth Parliament:

Candidate Statement: My name is Jake Dorgan and I want to be
the voice of the young people in not just my area of Neath and Port Talbot, but
for the rest of Wales. I am a passionate person, a confident public speaker and
a person who cares for the future of Wales.
I will represent the issues and interests of my area, I will
listen to their views by using social media that we feel more comfortable with,
such as Tik Tok and Discord. These are two popular types of media that can be
successfully used to inform Wales’s young people.
If I am elected, I want to ensure that young people have
recognition, facilities to encourage growth and not conflict, an education that
prepares us for the real world, a chance to start up a new business and most of
all a Wales that’s here for future generations economically and
environmentally.
A vote for me would mean having someone who will listen,
communicate and make sure changes happen in our area, I will make sure Neath is
represented in parliament, I understand some issues will take time to resolve
but I'm happy to build a campaign to shape our futures.
