Candidate Statement: I’m a part of my school’s debate club
and newly formed school council because I’m passionate about making a
difference in my community. So, the opportunity to be a voice for young people
at a national level fascinates me. I can’t put into words how much I'd love to
represent young people and stand against the issues that we face in front of
the Senedd. It would mean so much to me to be able to influence the way people
see the pressures on young people and shaping the future of my generation has
always been a dream of mine.
I don’t see developing my knowledge about politics as a way
of becoming a politician, instead I see it as a way to better the lives of
young people and to help me understand how legislative decisions affect the
people of Wales. I am a leader and a mentor at heart, and being a member of my
local rugby team for several years has taught me how to work as a team
successfully and how to communicate effectively.
I feel like I could make a valuable contribution on matters
like mental health, eating disorders and education.
