Candidate Statement: My name is Devlin Stanney and I am 15
years old. I study at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman and I am standing as a candidate for
the youth parliamentary election this year. I believe that I can make a change
to benefit our youth and this is what I will set out to achieve. If I were to
be elected I would make sure that I represent as many voices of the community
as possible, I would help push for the changes they believe are important to be
considered by people higher up. In a world of corrupt people who only pretend
to care about the ordinary person, I will make sure that everybody in my area
can feel that they are represented by somebody who does care. I think that
people should put faith in me because I feel that I can represent the youth’s
issues and try my best to solve them. I believe that I am a suitable choice to
be in this position as I represent my school on my school’s council, and I
believe that I know the struggles and issues facing our youth population in
today’s world.
