Biography

Candidate Statement: The phrase 'The sky is the limit' highlights how opportunities differ based on privilege; for many, that 'limit' is not the same. This must change. All students, deserve equal access to resources, regardless of background. If elected, I will work to eliminate educational inequalities by advocating for universal free school meals in secondary schools, ensuring that all students can focus on their education. Furthermore, under Article 12 of the UNCRC, students have the right to feel safe at school, and I will push for increased mental health support in all schools. As Student Ambassador for NCREW, I will also advocate for a set, guided learning time for the new Religion, Value and Ethics curriculum, therefore enabling all students to develop fully-rounded opinions relevant to 21st Century Wales. These are all topics and priorities I, and others think are important to fight for on a national scale. I believe my experience, coupled with my enthusiasm for change, makes me an ideal candidate.
