Candidate Statement: I am an enthusiastic, passionate, and
optimistic individual that would be privileged to voice the opinion of the
young people of Pontypridd. That is why I aspire to join the youth parliament -
to represent young people from all backgrounds and to be an advocate for equity
and excellence. Giving back to my community is important to me because it
shapes who we are, provides support and gives us a sense of belonging and
purpose. As a passionate Welsh speaker, it’s vital that we strengthen unity and
culture. Furthermore, my work with cancer research has inspired me to ensure
equal opportunities for all. Whilst I would use modern communication,
face-to-face interactions are essential for understanding authentic thoughts. I
believe in turning vision into reality as listening and acting upon feedback is
imperative. As a young girl who has grown up through lockdown and the
challenges of society today, I would be honoured to work with our community to
help better our future for Wales and beyond.
