Candidate Statement: I would like to be a valuable member to
the Welsh Youth Parliament and show what I would achieve as a member. I have
been a Welsh representative in the past for the Youth Shape Team for the 25th
World Scout Jamboree in South Korea. This opportunity has allowed me to gain an
understanding on how to represent Wales on an international platform. As
someone with mild ASD I would work towards being a voice for children with
neurodiversity in the education system and work towards providing the right
support at the right time for neuro diverse kids in order to maximise their
potential . I also wish to raise awareness on the growing mental health crises
amongst our youth and how our communities can work to ensure our environment is
a safe space for children to seek the help they need. As someone who is an
active member of Scouting I also firmly believe that it is important to promote
youth building organisations in Wales and ensure they play an active role in in
the development of the youth.
