The final list of 20 partner organisations has been announced ahead of the Welsh Youth Parliament’s third term.

Each partner organisation will run an election to choose the 11 – 17 year old that will represent them over the next two year term.

They will make up the 60-member parliament alongside 40 members elected from each Welsh constituency.

Nominations for constituency members are open until 30th September 2024.

Welsh Youth Parliament Members are elected to make sure young people’s voices are heard in decisions that affect their future.

The partner organisation system has been in place since the inception of the WYP – helping to ensure a diverse parliament with representation from people from vulnerable or marginalised backgrounds.

This term’s partner organisations include those that work with homeless young people, children with disabilities and LGBTQ+ youth.

Applications to become a partner organisation were scored based on a number of factors and chosen to represent a range of causes and geographical areas.
