Make your vote count

You’ll elect 40 young people from all over Wales – one young person for each constituency in Wales.

But, that’s only 40 young people – and the Welsh Youth Parliament will have 60 Members. So, where do the other 20 come from?

We work with a range of partner organisations who’ll return the remaining 20 Welsh Youth Parliament Members. Putting our parliament together this way will make sure we have representation from diverse groups of young people.

All 60 Welsh Youth Parliament Members will have equal status with the same roles and responsibilities.

DECIDE WHO REPRESENTS YOU

You’ll use your vote to decide who represents you and your part of Wales in the Welsh Youth Parliament.

Wales is broken down into 40 smaller areas called constituencies. A constituency is the area where you live, work or get your education.

When you vote, you’re choosing the one person you want to represent you and your area.

We group our constituencies into four regions of Wales. The Welsh Youth Parliament Members you choose will work and meet together regularly in these regions:
